Creatively-driven and Hardworking.
Recently, as a First Generation college student, I received a Bachelor's in Organizational Management from Santa Fe College. I'm currently based in Gainesville, Florida. All of my art supplies are arranged by color, and my books are organized by size and author’s last name. When organizing things that were previously messy or abandoned, I feel satisfied. A goal of mine is to work in management for a non-profit organization. Bringing clarity and organization to something I feel is helping people does not feel like work to me. I would like to lead a team and help us reach our goal efficiently.
Service is integrated throughout my life. I have volunteered five years straight at the Alachua County Library District.
As a volunteer, I shelved books, designed visual displays, and aided librarians in any way. I work closely to fulfill any gap of labor at Cultural Arts Coalition. Since six years ago, I have worked as a site coordinator for its East Gainesville Science Club programs. I also contribute concept art and graphic design to its clean energy conferences. I'm not alive just for myself, so, if I can serve someone or some group, I feel useful.
Because of that experience, I have interest in philanthropy. I could see myself working locally for places like Boys & Girls Club. In management, I would make sure operations ran smoothly and, by talking to workers, assign them to the best tasks at hand. Communication is one of the most important parts of well-run organizations. Organizations need people to organize money, disperse materials, and spread the word—all things I am excited to do.
I believe organizational management skills are versatile, so I could adapt to any organization or business. I have also taken a beginner's grant writing course and an extensive course on Business Statistics. I love language-learning, and would not be opposed to working overseas/internationally.
I look forward to more projects in the future.
